Finding The Light was built around the spirit of community and congregation. As the sun rises and sets, the colors from the stained glass and the shadow of the monoliths’ cover the ground, forming a temporary “cathedral” of light. The land becomes a shared, sacred place, where viewers congregate in the vivid primary colors and wholly massive shape.

Throughout the day, the installation remains active. With the constant movement of the sun, the shadow evolves at the same rate, providing new views as the day goes on. Each encounter with the piece is unique to itself, shapes by time, location, and human presence.

Artistic Intent

This structure was created under the idea that viewers could join with the art. Watching your shadow grow with it at sunset, your figure becoming draped with color, your feet creating ripples in its silhouette. Finding The Light has been transformed into a dance floor, a wedding venue, a gathering space… whatever humans can dream to use it for, the piece obliges.
